Operation Encompass At Juniper House School
At Juniper House School, we collaborate with the Thames Valley Police and Children’s Services to identify and support pupils who have experienced domestic violence in their households.
This initiative, known as Operation Encompass, aims to safeguard and assist children and young people who have witnessed or been involved in domestic abuse incidents. By sharing relevant information with local schools, designated safeguarding leads (DSLs) are able to engage with affected children and provide necessary support within a safe and familiar environment.
Domestic abuse can have profound effects on children, both in the short term and long term.
Here Are Some Key Points:
Addressing domestic violence requires a multifaceted approach involving education, awareness and community support.
On receipt of any information, the Designated Safeguarding Lead will decide on the appropriate support the young person requires.
The School will record this information in line with our Safeguarding Policy.
